Travel Insurance For Israel

Is travel insurance required to enter Israel?

Yes. To enter Israel, travel medical insurance is mandatory.  All foreign nationals wanting to visit Israel must provide proof of a travel medical insurance policy that does not exclude coverage for COVID-19, provide a negative PCR test, and quarantine for 24 hours.  For more vital information, visit the Tourist Israel website.

Why should you buy travel insurance to visit Israel?

To visit Israel foreign travelers must have a travel medical insurance policy that covers COVID-19.  So, you have to have travel insurance to enter.  Trawick International travel medical insurance provides the proof of coverage you will need to enter.

In addition to the travel medical coverage, we recommend purchasing a policy that includes coverage for trip cancellation as well.  For a fraction of your trip cost, you can add extra protection that can be vital in case of an emergency.  Our Trip Cancellation policies also offer benefits that provide coverage if a terrorist attack occurs and disrupts your trip.

Do the trip cancellation plans from Trawick International cover COVID-19?

Yes, our plans treat COVID-19 like any other sickness. To learn more about how Trawick International travel insurance plans provide coverage for Covid-19 related concerns, please visit our COVID-19 FAQ webpage.

Optional Cancel for Any Reason Coverage

Trawick International offers the hard-to-find and rarely available Cancel for Any Reason benefit on select Trawick International trip cancellation plans.  Cancel for Any Reason (CFAR) provides reimbursement for 75% of the prepaid, nonrefundable, forfeited payments you paid for your trip if you cancel your trip for any reason not otherwise covered by this policy - like border closures, travel bans, or if you just decide that you do not want to travel anymore.  This coverage MUST be purchased with the initial policy and within 21 days of the initial trip deposit date, and the full, nonrefundable trip cost is insured. (This benefit is not available in every US state).

How much does travel insurance cost?

Many factors including the age of travelers, trip cost, and length of trip contribute to the cost of travel insurance.  So the price of a travel insurance plan will differ for each trip.  Travel insurance will provide enhanced protection for a fraction of your trip cost if something were to go wrong.

When should you buy travel insurance?

Travel insurance can protect you against many things depending on the type of plan you purchase.  For example, if your trip was disrupted because of a hurricane and you had trip interruption coverage as part of your trip cancellation plan, you would be eligible to receive reimbursement for that part of your disrupted trip as long as your policy was purchased before the storm was named. Does Trawick International cover mandatory COVID testing to reenter the USA?

Effective January 26, 2021, all travelers flying into the United States will need to show a negative COVID-19 test before reentering the country. Airlines will be responsible for confirming the negative test results for all passengers before they board a flight to the United States. The cost of this mandatory test is not a covered benefit under any of our travel insurance plans. If a traveler does not receive the test results in time, this would not be a covered travel delay/trip interruption benefit.  Travelers need to make sure to plan accordingly to make sure their results will be received before their flights are scheduled to depart.  In the event someone has a positive test, there could be travel delay coverage available to cover costs for additional accommodations due to quarantine.
